Last year, my granddaughter’s Shichi-Go-San photo, taken by Ms. Keiko Oi of Oi Photo Studio in Chigasaki, won 3rd place in the Fujifilm Photo Contest!

The small pouch my granddaughter is holding is my own humble hand-sewn creation. I made it from the kimono I wore as a newborn. Ms. Oi was very supportive of the idea, so I proudly let my
granddaughter carry
it.
My granddaughter’s kimono is the one my mother had made for my daughters when they were little. Kimonos truly last for generations.

入り口と入ってすぐのところに大々的に飾ってくださってます
孫娘が持っている巾着は私の拙い手縫いです。私自身の産着で作りました。大井さんがこのことに大変賛同してくださり、私は大威張りで持たせました
孫娘の着物は娘達の幼い頃私の母があつらえてくれた物、着物は長く持ちます
今年３日前は別の孫の七五三でした、思い出して他の写真も取り出してきました
